SculpSure™ Treatments
SculpSure™ was created to target specific areas of the body where you may need extra help to reduce and eliminate fat in areas where it just doesn’t seem to go away no matter what you do. The SculpSure laser raises the temperature of fat cells, damaging their structural integrity. Contact CoolingTM stays on throughout the treatment, which keeps the skin safe and comfortable. After the fat cells are treated with the device, they are removed naturally from your body through the lymphatic system. Once these fat cells are removed from your body they cannot regrow.
Treatment Expectations with SculpSure™?
Prior to treatment with SculpSure™ you will have an initial consultation with Dr. Litwin to determine if you are an optimal candidate for the treatment and to determine the number and frequency of treatments needed to meet your needs and goals. The treatments take approximately 25 minutes per area (abdomen, flanks, thighs, etc). For most areas, you will require a second treatment 6 weeks after the initial treatment in order to achieve optimal results.
During each session, you will be seated in a comfortable treatment chair in a relaxing spa-like environment. The SculpSure™ device will be applied to the area being treated. As your fat cells are treated with heat, the skin and surrounding tissues will be gently cooled. This combination of heating and cooling reduces any potential discomfort significantly. Most patients experience a tingling sensation intermittently throughout the treatment which is generally well-tolerated. Some clients find the procedure relaxing. There is no downtime with SculpSure™ treatments, so after the treatment you can return to normal activities immediately.
When Can I See Results?
Patients who have had SculpSure™ treatments may start to see results as early as 6 weeks following the initial treatment as the body begins to eliminate the destroyed fat cells, with maximal results usually seen after 12 weeks. This time is necessary for your body to naturally remove the targeted fat cells. Use of a ProLon® 5 day fasting mimicking diet may speed this process, according to anecdotal evidence from patients and doctors using this combination of treatments. The treated cells will be gone permanently and will not regenerate after being eliminated. However, it is always possible to acquire new fat cells in the same areas if your diet and lifestyle habits lead to weight gain in the future. Therefore we always recommend after your SculpSure™ treatment that you maintain a healthy diet and exercise regularly. If you participate in our Comprehensive Wellness Programs or Focused Wellness Programs you will learn and enact techniques that will help you to be able to keep the weight off for the long term.
